Flowers are a typical theme for wedding invitations and orchids are especially popular. I painted a lovely watercolor of a dendrobium orchid and was so happy with it that I decided to turn it into an invitation design! I wanted to give it a modern look, so I added a light mod swirl background in muted colors and mounted the card onto a warm silver toned card stock to match muted background tones.
This invitation is a nice choice if you're looking for a traditional theme with a modern twist. I plan to also have these available in pocket fold and gate fold versions for couples who prefer a packaged invitation style.

Cape Cod Map Wedding Invitations
Another new design I've been working on are these Cape Cod map invitations. I thought this would be a nice whimsical option for a fun, somewhat informal wedding on the Cape.
The invitation is printed on felt cover stock, mounted to a textured navy blue stock and comes with white envelopes. The cute sailboat response card is also printed on felt stock.

Hot Air Balloon Wedding Invitations
I’ve been spending a lot of time in the studio over the past few months working on new designs for my invitations. I’m really pleased with my new whimsically illustrated hot air balloon invitations. My goal was to create an interesting illustration using pattern and texture. This one also has a muted, almost vintage primary color scheme that I think works nicely. I hope you all like it as much as I do!

Apple Orchard Wedding Invitations
Living in Upstate New York, I am very familiar with apple orchards – so, I thought, how cool would it be to have an apple themed wedding stationery set? I loved the whole idea of going eco-friendly for these, so I have mimicked a recycled kraft paper background, print them on eco-friendly 50% recycled stock and use 100% recycled taupe brown envelopes. I paired the recycled elements with an elegant bracket and some watercolor apple branches and created a gate fold invitation using a woodgrain card stock tied off with some natural twine. It’s a perfect mixture of rustic and elegance!

Las Vegas Wedding - Playing Card Wedding Invitations and Save The Dates
NooneyArt Designs has been working with some wonderful clients in California on their upcoming wedding in Las Vegas. The couple wanted an invitation that looked like actual playing cards so I designed a playing card invitation set with a folded card that when closed looks like a playing with images of a king and queen that were drawn in pen and ink and then colorized using Photoshop. The inside has the wedding information, including the itinerary, and there is a matching response card.
I've also created these Vegas themed Save The Dates in a totally different color scheme, once again filled with color and pattern using Photoshop:

Farm Themed Wedding Invitations!
Here's a sample of a new design I've been working on...
These super cute farm themed wedding invitations were inspired by one of my Sunday drives through the country side in Columbia County. I stopped to take photos of different farms along the way and this cool red tractor that I saw parked in front of a sheep farm! The minute I got home, I couldn't wait to break out the watercolors!
The outside of this invitation is a gatefold bronze woodgrain cardstock that just adds that extra country look to the piece.
